I can't part with this book because the apple-carrot muffin recipe is one of my all-time favorites. Most of the bread recipes result in fairly coarse loaves, so if you like a smaller crumb and smoother texture, just fiddle with the types of flour called for - I usually use about half the amount of whole wheat flour in the recipe and substitute all-purpose for the rest.
