This book is a joy to sit and read as well as a collection of delicious recipes and lovely photos. Each chapter begins with a story about growing up in Morocco or Lahlou's attempts at recreating classic dishes for his restaurant. He writes in a conversational tone, as if he is sitting with you to share his experiences. This is a cookbook for someone who loves spending time in the kitchen; most of the recipes are time consuming, but many can be made ahead.
