A rip-roaring good yarn, and certainly not the zombie gore-fest I had somehow expected. I love how Priest plays with history, using what she wants and ignoring or manipulating what she doesn't. Suspension of disbelief is the key to enjoying this book - it's not for the nitpicker of historical details. I haven't read Boneshaker (1st in the series), but I didn't need to. Dreadnought stands alone as a fun read.
